Statement of Purpose.

We encourage students interested in the environment and increase awareness of protection, conservation, and restoration. Students will participate in the club’s projects at school and in the community to improve our environment. Students will acquire skills to identify, investigate, and understand environmental issues. Students will learn the concept of community service by working together to make their school and neighborhood a better place to live and have fun as they explore their environment.

Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA) is a pre-collegiate and collegiate teacher recruitment program. The program provides a forum for students to become aware of career opportunities in education and nurtures their interest in teaching as a career.

MS MEJIA:

GWC-Girls Who Code is a worldwide girl's S.T.E.M. coding program. The future is girls in tech. We meet once a month on Wednesday after school 3:45-5:00 in room 141.

Meets the second Tuesday of every month at 3:50 PM in room 405.

Description/Mission: Our GSA is a social and support club for LGBTQIA+ young people and their non-LGBTQIA+ allies. All members of the student community are welcome to join as the club is not limited to members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The club focuses on allowing members to share a safe and affirming space to learn about issues important to them, to participate in accepting social events, and to bring mutual respect to all members of the school community. Activities include games, discussions, guest speakers (appropriate and approved), field trips, parties, and service projects.

Rocket League Team- Rocket League is a team of 3–5 players that compete from home playing Rocket League video games. Our team plays in the Sunshine State Esports League and Broward County School District competitions. We practice Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm and matches are Thursdays from 4:30-5:30.

Students Preventing Unintentional Drowning (S.P.U.D.) is a teen Water Smart Ambassador club devoted to advocating water safety. This Ambassador club will allow high and middle school students to influence and educate their community. Through this club, members will increase their knowledge of water safety practices and learn actions that can be taken to prevent future drowning incidences. Club members will use creative ways and methods to deliver water safety messages. This club is designed to help address awareness needs throughout Broward County and to allow for professional and leadership development among club members.

Start with Hello is a call-to-action program dedicated to kindness, inclusion, and making connections. Students are taught skills on how to recognize loneliness and social isolation in peers. It offers effective strategies where students can reach out to help along with ways in which they can grow an empathetic and inclusive community.
